Developed for CERN’s Superconducting Link project and proven at the High-Luminosity LHC, our flexible cryostats combine minimum heat ingress and low stored elastic energy to maintain stable operating temperatures and enable effortless installation. Their lightweight, highly flexible design simplify handling, routing, and integration of superconducting cables into your system.

Custom pressure ratings, e.g. 25 barg and above, as well as custom flex dimensions are available upon request. Feedthroughs for the flexible cryostats can be developed on a project basis in collaboration with Cryoworld to meet specific application requirements.

Quality and safety testing

Our flexible cryostats are CE-marked and manufactured in full compliance with the EN-13480 standard for metallic industrial piping, delivering vacuum-jacketed, low-heat-leak transfer of cryogenic fluids. Each unit is certified to PED 2014/68/EU and undergoes mandatory EC Unit Verification by an independent Notified Body, ensuring adherence to the EU’s safety regulations for hazardous fluids and high-pressure systems. To ensure operational integrity and safety, every flexible cryostat undergoes:

  • Functional product testing: Validation of system operability.

  • PED compliance tests: Verification of conformity with PED 2014/68/EU requirements.

  • Internal compliance tests: Integrity validation through helium leak detection and other internal assessments.
