Bayonet couplings
Demountable design • Quick & leak-tight connection • Low-force decoupling
Bayonet couplings enable a quick, leak‑tight connection between the transfer line and a storage tank, ensuring safe refuelling or transfer. Engineered for cryogenic temperatures, they lock securely to prevent accidental disconnection and limit vapour release. A low‑force decoupling design protects operators from strain or injury. Fully compatible with our flexible transfer lines, these bayonet couplings simplify operations and enhance safety. Suitable for liquid nitrogen, liquefied natural gas, liquid argon, and liquid oxygen.

Each assembly consists of one male and one female bayonet, as shown in the table, joined by a set of c-clamps. Individual male or female units may be ordered separately. Filters and non‑return valves can be integrated into the female bayonet for additional process protection.
Custom pressure ratings, e.g. 25 barg and above, and other dimensions, EN/ANSI/Dairy Grade, can be provided on request.
Quality and safety testing
Our bayonet couplings are CE-marked and manufactured in full compliance with the EN-13480 standard for metallic industrial piping, delivering vacuum-jacketed, low-heat-leak transfer of cryogenic fluids. Each unit is certified to PED 2014/68/EU and undergoes mandatory EC Unit Verification by an independent Notified Body, ensuring adherence to the EU’s safety regulations for hazardous fluids and high-pressure systems. To ensure operational integrity and safety, every bayonet coupling undergoes:
-
Functional product testing: Validation of system operability.
-
PED compliance tests: Verification of conformity with PED 2014/68/EU requirements.
-
Internal compliance tests: Integrity validation through helium leak detection and other internal assessments.
