Our subcooler lowers the temperature of a cryogenic liquid below its boiling point to delay boil-off during transfer. An integrated heat exchanger performs subcooling to deliver the cryogenic liquid in a densely subcooled state. Our subcooler can operate with liquid nitrogen, liquid oxygen, and liquid argon, and is suited for aerospace, medical, food preservation, and industrial applications.

Product scope

Our subcooler reduces vapour generation during transfer and storage by lowering the temperature of a cryogenic liquid below its boiling point. It is compatible with liquid nitrogen, liquid oxygen, and liquid argon, ensuring stable delivery conditions and improved system efficiency. An integrated controller with inlet and vent valves provides precise flow and vent control, maintaining pressure under all operating conditions.

The subcooler is configurable for a wide range of applications and includes the following core components:

  • Level sensor: Monitors the liquid height in the separator vessel.

  • High-level alarm sensor: Detects overfill and triggers automatic shutdown or diversion to protect equipment and prevent spillage.

  • Pressure sensor: Measures pressure to regulate the vent valve.

  • Safety valves: Relieve excess pressure to protect the system and its environment.

To meet specific process needs, the subcooler can be configured with inlet and outlet temperature and pressure measurement. It can be integrated into larger systems, with optional PLC-based control system and additional automated valves available for improved functionality. Vacuum-insulated vent and outlet connections can be offered with bayonet or welded couplings, ensuring ice-free operation under all conditions. An optional bayonet connection at the outlet line allows for flexible system interfacing.
